About this Kite Area
Fonte da Telha sits along the Costa da Caparica south of Lisbon and is the coast's dependable option — the beach people go to when Guincho is too big or too strong. The sources describe conditions as almost flat and suited to beginners, freestylers and, in general, any level.
Wind is the Nortada, reaching around 20 knots on most afternoons between June and September.
Water is 17 to 19°C through the summer, so a wetsuit is needed. The beach is within about forty minutes of central Lisbon.
