El Naaba is the northern lagoon of this coast: shallow, flat and clear, with unusually consistent thermal wind and space for every level.

About this Kite Area
El Naaba sits north of Hamata on the same desert coast, about forty-five kilometres from Marsa Alam airport and roughly a kilometre south of the Equinox hotel. The lagoon is shallow and flat, with clear water and few obstacles beyond the reef.
The wind is thermal and comes from the northern sector — north, north-north-east, north-east, and sometimes north-west. Its consistency is the notable thing: sources report a minimum of sixty per cent windy days in every month of the year, with the strongest conditions in summer. The best season is May through September.
The lagoon is forgiving enough for a first lesson and open enough for freestyle. High tide is the recommended state. Winter water sits around 21°C and calls for a wetsuit; in summer a lycra is enough.
