About this Kite Area
Manzanillo del Mar lies about twenty-five minutes north of Cartagena, beyond La Boquilla, and is the alternative for riders who want space. Sources describe stronger wind here than at the city beaches and consistently side-onshore direction, with noticeably fewer people on the water.
The season is the coast's: December to April on Caribbean trades, roughly 10 to 25 knots, warm water year-round.
There is less infrastructure here than at La Boquilla, so it repays arriving with your own gear and a plan, and checking conditions with a school in the city first.
